NICU Follow-Up and Developmental Care

NICU graduates require specialized care to monitor growth and developmental outcomes. We provide the comprehensive primary pediatric care your child needs. We offer high-risk infant follow-up that includes growth, development, and nutrition assessment and intervention. We also manage home oxygen, apnea monitoring, and other equipment needs.
We are also available for pre-discharge consultations. Please call us or request online on the website to arrange an appointment.

Primary Care

We provide primary care for children of all ages. In addition to treating common childhood illnesses and injuries, we provide routine checkups, preventive care, immunizations, and more to support your child’s lifelong health and wellness.

Feeding Problems in Infancy and Lactation Support

Nothing is more frustrating than experiencing difficulty in performing what should be the most basic act of parenting: feeding your baby. The truth is that it is not always as easy as it seems. Breastfeeding can be challenging and every mom needs a custom solution. Sometimes even bottle feeding can be hard! We listen to each parent’s concerns and create an individualized plan for each child. Our neonatal nurse practitioners are on-call to help you. You and your baby will be surrounded by the support of professionals who truly care about helping you and your child achieve your feeding goals.
Tongue Tie (Ankyloglossia):
Sometimes painful breastfeeding and/or other difficulties in feeding may be caused by “tongue-tie”. We can assess and correct the issue in the office with a procedure to release the tongue called a frenulectomy. Please call us for an evaluation if you think your baby may be having problems due to this.

Colic and Early Childhood Behavioral Problems

The first few weeks of a baby’s life are incredibly rewarding for new parents, but also challenging, especially when your baby’s behavior is unpredictable. Remember, you are not alone! Our providers are experienced and ready to help with issues of colic and difficult behaviors. We will give you a plan and the tools you need to guide your child toward a healthier path.

ADHD Non-Pharmacological and Pharmacological Interventions

Parents of children with ADHD often have limited options to help their child, especially for parents who would like to try non-pharmacological interventions before resorting to medications. We understand the struggle and are here to help! The providers at PHS have developed a detailed and evidence-based treatment program that will guide you step-by-step through treatment options for ADHD. We first evaluate your child as an individual and then provide you with customized interventions to implement in the home. As a last resort, we can also offer the use of medications, but always in the lowest possible doses that can achieve the goals that you set for your child.

Obesity is an epidemic among children in America.” As parents, this statement brings little or no comfort, as we all want our children to be happy and healthy in every possible way. The consequences of unchecked childhood obesity can be dangerous. At PHS we know that every child and family deserves an individualized treatment plan that is clear, measurable, attainable, timed, and realistic. Our health care providers understand that solutions for childhood obesity require lifelong changes, and we are always here to help you.

Asthma and Allergies

PHS is committed to being your single destination for the care of mild to moderately complex asthma and allergies. Although referral to specialists in pediatric pulmonology and allergy medicine may become necessary and are always available upon request, we will provide you with the maximum amount of support in the primary care setting before referring you and your child to a specialist.

Foster Care / Adoption

Adopted children and those in foster care present special challenges for families and health care providers. Their journey to good health may be complicated by a history of abuse and neglect. We will be your advocates as we navigate the special needs of your child.
