Dr. Jyoti Murthy

Medical Doctor, Board Certified Pediatrician
Dr. Jyoti Murthy is a Board-Certified Pediatrician and has been practicing in the Dallas area for over 15 years. She obtained her medical degree from the Armed Forces Medical College in India. She completed her Pediatrics Residency at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in New York. Her special interests include the care of newborns, pediatric obesity, and asthma. She speaks Hindi, Kannada, and Marathi. She maintains that her focus as a pediatrician is looking at the whole child, considering the physical, mental, and social health issues that might affect a child’s growth and development. She selflessly holds herself out as a resource to parents as they raise their children to be happy and healthy, looking forward to being a part of their family. Dr. Murthy lives in Irving with her family. Outside of the office, she enjoys long walks, short runs, volunteering, and creating artwork.

Donna Schultz

Doctor of Nursing Practice, Board Certified Neonatal and Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Schultz is a double board certified nurse practitioner who has dedicated her professional career to vulnerable and special needs babies. She graduated with her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2002 from Baylor University and went to work for the Baylor Health Care system, caring for the smallest and most vulnerable patients. She has worked in the NICU for 17 years as a nurse practitioner. In 2010, she began a teaching journey for Baylor University and discovered another love; both teaching nurses to care for babies as advanced nursing providers, and the fulfillment of caring for her beloved NICU babies and their families once they were discharged home. She pursued her doctoral degree and graduated from the Johns Hopkins University in 2012 with her Doctor of Nursing Practice. Dr. Schultz’s doctoral work focused on the transition of care from NICU into the home and community for her patients. Dr. Schultz became frustrated when her patients turned 2 years old; she needed to transition them to another provider for healthcare. In 2017, she began her final educational journey to complete a certificate in Pediatrics, so she could continue to see her patients through childhood. She became board certified in Pediatrics in 2019. Dr. Schultz is excited to expand her practice at PHS to be able to meet the needs of her babies and their families. In her spare time, Dr. Schultz can be found trying to keep up with her husband and 3 teenagers, or on her yoga mat.
