Foster Care

Foster children and those who have been adopted may have a history of negligence and abuse. If so, they may need specialized healthcare treatment. At Pediatric Health Specialists, we provide foster care for newborns and other kids. It's our job to ensure the best foster care resources, including behavioral health, research, child welfare, and pediatrics, are given to foster children. Our health experts are dedicated to providing your child with foster care support, developmental support, and referrals to specialists as and when needed.

Tongue-Tie

Tongue-tie, or ankyloglossia, can be challenging as it can cause difficulty in breastfeeding your child. It is a condition where the tongue is attached to the floor of your baby’s mouth with a thin strip of tissue, preventing it from moving freely. While in some cases, a baby can outgrow this condition on its own, at other times, a tongue-tie can be significantly difficult. That is where we come to help you out! We can assess and correct the issue through our special procedure of lingual frenectomy, which can help release the tongue. Don’t hesitate to call us for evaluation if you think your baby is facing similar issues.
